Welcome to Kruger Farm

Our story begins in the spring of 2021 in the small waterfront town of Ephraim, Wisconsin, where a web designer and a front desk manager crossed paths. From the start, “opposites attract” couldn’t have fit us better — but it didn’t take long to realize we shared a deep love for animals and all things outdoors.

Fast forward to spring of 2025: we got engaged on Washington Island and soon after moved into our 1940s farmhouse in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. Having land of our own reignited a long-held dream — raising outdoor animals and growing a large, productive garden. Alongside a long list of home renovations, we dove in headfirst by purchasing 30 chickens and building our chicken coop along with raised garden beds, officially transforming our property into a working hobby farm.

Kruger Farm grew from the merging of our strengths. Mae’s love for homemaking, cooking, baking, and animal care paired naturally with Collin’s ability to build, create, and run a successful business. The name and logo are a heartfelt nod to Collin’s family dairy farm in Westfield, Wisconsin — a reminder of the agricultural roots that inspired us.

Our mission with Kruger Farm is simple: to take you back to a slower, more intentional way of living. A time when communities relied on local farms and gardens for nourishment and connection. We strive to reflect that mindset in how we raise our animals, tend our gardens, and share our work.

At Kruger Farm, you’ll find not only delicious eggs, fresh produce, and homemade baked goods, but also a resource for your own homesteading journey. When we were just starting out, we struggled to find clear, trustworthy information. We ran into myths, misconceptions, and expensive plans that were time-consuming — and often didn’t work as promised. Our most valuable knowledge came from friends and fellow homesteaders willing to share their real-life experience.

That’s why we created our YouTube channel and workshop offerings — to give homesteaders a place to turn for practical building plans, animal-raising insight, and honest guidance. Everything we share is rooted in hands-on experience, with the goal of saving you time, money, and frustration so you can focus on building a farm that truly works for you.

At the heart of Kruger Farm is our faith in God. We believe this land, our animals, and the work of our hands are blessings entrusted to us, and we strive to be good stewards of all He has provided. Farming has deepened our gratitude for the rhythms God designed — planting and harvest, work and rest, dependence and provision. We are continually reminded that growth comes not by our strength alone, but through His grace.

“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” — Psalm 126:5

“The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us” — Psalm 67:6

Our hope is that Kruger Farm reflects faith in action — honoring God through honest work, care for creation, and service to our community. Welcome to Kruger Farm — we’re so glad you’re here. 🌱🐓
