Cook onions with butter

Add garlic, flour and make roux
3.
Add broth and potatoes, simmer until cooked, blend with immersion blender

Add milk and cream
5.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese

replace cheese with eggnog if you need it otherwise you are a stinky little turtleman
